Boat Of The Day: SYCARA IV 151 ft (46m)

From the moment you board SYCARA IV you are transported back in time to the elegance and luxury reminiscent of yachting in the Art Deco Era. The exterior styling incorporated the teak and white painted paneling typical of this time period and invites you in to experience the full impact of its interior spaces.
One of the first things you notice is the beautifully detailed Madrone Burl raised wall panels enhanced with inlaid Macassar Ebony and accented with Paduak molding which contrasts with fresh glossy white painted surfaces. Teak and Maple flooring coupled with custom off white carved geometric wool carpet completes the background for a color scheme of off white, cream, light gold and taupe neutrals accented with dark rich blue tones creating a traditionally nautical aura to this vessel. The door surrounds and featured cabinet pieces are exquisitely adorned with polished stainless steel detailing which in addition to the jewelry quality door hardware adds a touch of glamour to the areas.
The main salon features a grouping of lounge furniture arranged for conversation as well as focusing on a large television monitor. As a complement to this entertainment space there is a curved, leather upholstered bar surrounded with custom crafted stainless steel bar stools.
Adjoining the main salon, the dining salon is a completely separate, private space. The curved walls with doors of this space feature Lilique glass panels and echo the shape of the dining table and cause the room to focus on the full length French doors which allow access to the exterior veranda. This feature fully opens this room to views of the water and the world beyond.
Forward is the main deck owner’s suite generously accommodates the king size bed which is crowned with a lavish fully upholstered headboard set against a room expanding wall of mirror. As an accent to the room the nightstands and desk have inlaid leather tops.
The ensuite bath accents the Madrone Burl walls and Teak and Maple floors and White Onyx countertop and showers and adds the elegance of hand cast and finished Lalique Crystal panels inset in a door as well as Lalique faucet sets and accessories giving the bath a truly luxurious atmosphere.
Three guest staterooms and ensuites share the same level of luxury and quality of detail as established in the main deck living areas of the vessel.
Forward, the captain and crew cabins continue the elegance of the Art Deco Era with white painted raised panel walls and contrasting Mahogany beams, raised panel doors and trim. This area includes the main galley and crew lounge/mess and laundry facility. The built-in furniture and cabinetry throughout this area is also Mahogany in a simpler style that incorporates the use of Polished Chrome accents in the hardware that was selected specifically for these areas. The use of the cream and blue color scheme creates a continuous flow of color throughout the entire vessel.
Exterior leisure spaces include formal and informal dining areas, a very generous spa tub, a fully equipped bar, lounge seating and sun bathing options.
